Product Description
LA HYD BD 46 is a rapidly biodegradable hydraulic fluid with low misting and low evaporation characteristics; LA HYD? BD 46 is a non toxic vegetable oil based hydraulic fluid that offers good high pressure and high temperature properties.
Properties
LA HYD BD 46 has the lubricating properties of a mineral oil, but with the advantage of being less harmful to the environment owing to its vegetable oil based origins.
LA HYD BD 46 has a high flash point in excess of 280 deg. C (compared to approx. 210 deg. C for equivalent viscosity mineral oils) which renders them ideal hydraulic fluids in high temperature risk areas requiring biodegradable hydraulic oil.
LA HYD BD 46 meets the Biodegradation test standard AS 4351.
Application
LA HYD BD 46 can be used in environmentally sensitive areas to replace mineral oils in areas such as:
- logging machinery in forest areas
- wharf and marine hydraulics
- fruit and crop harvesting machinery
- golf course machinery & ride-on mowers
- forklifts
- quarrying & mining industry
- wine industry
- ski lifts & amusement ride machinery.
